So far we've just used it for chicken, french-fries, and doughnuts (no, not at the same time) and it's very quick and easy to use. We're really looking forward to frying shrimp and fish. My last Proctor Silex small food chopper, which was basically the exact same product with just a minor improvement, I probably had for 8 or 10 years. This is 8 or more years of HARD and constant use.
